Peaceful Community Outreach Checklist

Before the activity

Choose a clear purpose and a responsible coordinator.
Verify any screening date, time, and venue directly.
Ask permission before using private property or distributing materials there.
Check applicable venue rules and any local requirements.
Plan a meeting point, a finish time, and a way to reach participants.
Review materials for accuracy. Remove unconfirmed claims.
Remind participants that the activity must remain peaceful.

During the activity

Keep entrances, roads, and walkways clear.
Ask before starting a conversation. Accept a refusal.
Do not threaten, harass, follow, or photograph people to single them out.
Respect staff instructions and other people’s choices.
Step away from arguments and ask the coordinator for help.
Collect contact information only with clear consent.

After the activity

Collect materials and leave the area clean.
Thank participants and review what could be improved.
Correct any inaccurate information that was shared.
Keep participant contact information private.
