A Warning for Parents: Start with a Conversation

FAMILY GUIDANCE · FROM THE COVENANT

A content warning can begin a thoughtful discussion without requiring anyone to watch disturbing material.

Blackcraft: The Documentary is rated R. Its trailer contains satanic themes, demonic imagery, and disturbing content. The Covenant urges parents to exercise discernment. Before deciding whether to watch a trailer or attend a screening, talk together about the values you want to guide your family’s choices.

Ask Before You Assume

Ask what your family members have heard about the film and where that information came from. Separate confirmed information from speculation. Give everyone space to explain their perspective without embarrassment or pressure.

Set Clear Boundaries

Discuss what kinds of imagery or themes each person would prefer to avoid. Choosing not to watch is a valid decision. Do not show someone upsetting material simply to prove a point.

Keep the Conversation Open

People may disagree about a film. Explain your convictions calmly and make room for questions. Our discussion guide offers prompts for continuing the conversation.
